Our conviction
Skin is a living organism, not a mere surface
It has its own intelligence. It forms a barrier, maintains a naturally acidic pH, interacts with its environment and hosts a unique skin microbiome. This balance evolves constantly to preserve its vitality. For Feï, caring for skin therefore starts with a simple question: how do we support it without needlessly disturbing what already works?

A way of formulating and thinking about skincare
The Cosmetics of the Living is a way of formulating and thinking about skincare. It does not seek to multiply steps, but to build a more coherent relationship with the skin: respecting the skin ecosystem rather than over-soliciting it, favouring essential and complementary gestures, selecting actives for their affinity with the skin and how it naturally works, bringing performance, sensoriality and simplicity together in a single routine, and considering balance from the outside as much as from within.
Formulation
- Biomimicry
- Formulas inspired by the constituents and mechanisms naturally present in the skin.
- Prebiotics and living actives
- Ingredients — some of them living actives — integrated according to each formula's needs to support the balance of the microbiome.
- Lipids and ceramides
- Components selected to strengthen the barrier function and restore skin comfort.
- Anhydrous formulas
- The absence of water in some formulas concentrates the actives and limits the need for preservatives.

Micro-organisms, simply explained
- Prebiotics
- Prebiotics are ingredients that help create an environment favourable to the balance of the microbiome. They are not living bacteria, but they prepare the ground for the probiotics, ferments and postbiotics that accompany them.
- Probiotics
- In food supplements, probiotics are living micro-organisms provided in defined quantities. Several Feï formulas, cosmetics as well as the food supplement, also include living probiotics, selected and stabilised, to support the balance of the microbiome — skin or gut, depending on the product.
- Ferments and postbiotics
- Ferments and postbiotics are compounds derived from fermentation. Depending on the formula, they are used alone or combined with living probiotics, in synergy with the prebiotics that prepare their action.
Less, but better
Feï does not champion reduction for reduction's sake. The brand champions a short routine because it can be clearer, more regular and more respectful of the skin. Three gestures to repeat daily and simply: cleanse, revitalise, nourish. Simplicity then becomes a form of rigour.
